The Best Time

I’m back in beautiful North Caroline with my wonderful husband Kevin visiting our precious son and granddaughter. I look forward to this rich time for months, and here I am basking in the jubilation, 5000 miles away from the Hawaiian sunshine and my daily routine.

I do my best to get these blogs out each weekend but with travels and poor internet reception in the back hills, my time and routines have changed. Time still goes on as I make the best of each priceless moment with my family.

Each day I budget a lot of my time in the richness of the outdoors. Here is where I gain my mojo, sense of peace and wisdom as I observe the systems and cycles of nature.

While taking in the wealth of Natures knowledge I was inspired to write the Soil to Soul Principles.

I continue to get inspiration for these blogs and my forthcoming book while communing with the natural world. My book, From the Soil To The Soul ~ Living As If The Future Matters, has taken years to write, is finally being edited; it’s about time! There were times when I gave myself a hard time for not getting the book done sooner and for spending so much time on writing a book. In retrospect, it has been worth my time. I’m forever grateful for this currency even if it never makes a dime.

How do you value your time? With who, and where do you spend your time?

Do you ever feel like you are wasting time, or taking to much time to do something?

I know that juggling your time can be challenging with all the demands of society. I have found my time is richly spent when I take care of my health and tune out the conforming messages of society that try to rob me of MY time. We are conditioned to work harder, to make more money and to buy more stuff which only robs us of priceless personal time.

Time is our greatest currency ~ Spend it wisely.

We are rich when we spend time wisely; with loved one, doing things that give us joy, are in places that raise our spirits.

We have been brought up with the mindset that currency is pure economics and if we have more money, we will be happy. This notion is not the only way to define our wealth or happiness.

Currency is defined as a circulation as a medium of exchange also a common article for bartering, such as furs were once used as currency, and today we use coins and paper money. It is also a medium of verbal or intellectual expression or when describing the currents of the sea, or the electricity generated, and the energy that is running throughout our body. The more energy you have, the more currency you have. To me, spending time focused on regenerating our health, the welfare of humanity and the the earth are rich and gratifying.

Happily, focus your time, passion and energy to create and regenerate your life and the world.

When we are in touch with the natural world, we can sense energies, emotions, and intentions and hence a balanced exchange of our time.

Everything we own, use, share, concur and preserve comes from the resources of the Earth. It’s time to reclaim humanity rooted in the Earth’s wisdom which has been around since the beginning of time, making it possible for humanity to exist. To take charge of our dietary and planetary destiny to establish just sustainable human systems and to respect this transformative as we adapt the wisdom of ecology. This foundation can achieve balance in its purest form. We can rewrite the rules, change the old paradigms and catapult the conscious capitalist movement and subscribe to economic happiness.

What you focus on will grow, so when you wholeheartedly invest your energy, time, and attention into your purposeful passions it will bring out the best in you and make a difference for future generations.

Have your heard of Local Future’s?

Local Futures’ also known as Economics of Happiness, was founded in 1975 by Helena Norberg-Hodge, The mission-driven organization, “a pioneer of the new economy movement, dedicated to the renewal of community, ecological health and local economies worldwide.” Hodge is also the Director of Local Futures and the producer and co-director of the award-winning documentary The Economics of Happiness, a great film I hope you will watch. It stresses solving problems focused on meeting real human and ecological needs through awakening to our spiritual ties to community and nature rather than finding happiness in growing a false economy.

Open your heart to your truth and make the best use of your time. Investing the best of yourself into others and you community can indeed make you happier.
